Jenn Rupram
Jenn Rupram is the founder and head herbalist of JN Organichouse. Her passion for oil making began in 1976 with making oils with her mother and grandmother. She grew up with this knowledge and learned to make her first coconut oil in Guyana. She would make all kinds of medicinal oils with plants she grew on her family land.
She learned by watching the intuitive medicinal woman her mother was. She saw the times her mother would mix camphor, herbs and oils for different skin treatments. She saw how good oils were for the skin topically, especially when it’s organically grown. Oil making for Jenn’s mother was a way to sustain themselves, these remedies were necessary for health and wellbeing.
Jenn’s love for oil making and plants sparked the pain oil she formulated in 2021 in her covid recovery story. Jenn experienced a lot of pain in her body after recovering from covid. In her healing she remembered this old tradition and set out to research natural herbs and benefits for her pain.
Jenn wanted a remedy that was without prescribed medication where her topical organs would be healthy and safe. In Jenn’s passion for an ointment, she infused 32 different botanicals, herbs and oils to sit for 90 days. Jenn was surprised to see the relief she felt after using her oil for 3 months. Jenn’s career in healthcare gave her over 20 years of experience to formulate her signature pain oil and a protocol for pain relief, that is pure earth magic. She started documenting other ways to use this oil and the results she was seeing.
Jenn wanted to test her results and started sharing her story with family and friends. She shared her oil and taught them the proper way to use this oil for its benefits. Family members were experiencing pain relief after learning the proper care and technique from Jenn. She remembered how satisfying it was to make her oils and continued oil making for other skin, body and hair care needs. She would launch her company and first line of products in 2022.
